The Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre is taking part in a three-year audience development strategy aiming to strengthen audiences for First Nations performances.
Our centre manager, David, had the privilege of chatting to the Harvey-Waroona Reporter about our new three-year audience development strategy aiming to strengthen audiences for First Nations performances
CircuitWest has delivered major multi-year Creative Australia funding in collaboration with four major regional perfroming arts venues, one of them being the HRCC! This is something we have advocated for Harvey, alongside local elder Lesley Ugle, so we are very excited and honoured to be selected as one of the venues. The program will look like at least one nationally touring show and at least one State-based West Australian show a year over the three-year period, while looking at more opportunities for localised shows and audience involvement. We will be launching the program in March with Casey Donovan performing at Harvey Dam, as part of the Harvey Harvest Festival! So make sure to keep an eye out and see what's in store for us here at the HRCC over the next three years.
